Munity Market

Munity Market is a cooperative community that prioritizes the needs of its occupants in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the coinciding rise of remote work. Inspired by the “living-above-the-shop” typology, the benefits of walkable communities and missing middle housing typically associated with urban living are brought to the rapidly growing suburban-rural community of Hood River. Munity Market creates streetscapes and social nooks based on an undulating modular marketplace form that allows residents above to easily access shops, public amenities, small businesses and other entities filling the space.
